I have been going to this establishment for over six years and they have given me a great deal for an oil change because I worked right next door and have brought them many customers from my work as well. However, recently I went for my oil change and was quoted $21.99 and when I was charged, it was over $36. I stood in the waiting room for 15 minutes with no other customers in front of me and the store manager on the phone trying to tell the person on the phone that he was trying to ring up a customer. It turns out the person he was on the phone with was the owner of the building. The owner told him to tell me that that they didn't offer a discount for the teachers next door and that they offer a "punch card" in place of the coupon they used to offer us in the building next door. However, I used to get the coupon and the punch card at the same time during previous visits. This could possibly explain the change in management in the store and employees over the last two years. They have dealt with at least three different managers. I always gave them the benefit of the doubt because of the situation, but it seems to always fall under total store management no matter what the circumstance. I would definitely not recommend this establishment anymore because you don't know who is going to be managing it. Update: I recently spoke with the owner who called me personally. They were very apologetic for the confusion during my visit and have offered to make everything correct. I feel comfortable again and I will continue to visit this location as I have been a long time customer. They have always treated me right and now they have stepped up to keep me a loyal customer. I moved to Council Bluffs a year ago and started looking for a 'car guy'. Well, this place is it. I've been to this place twice now for needed repairs and loved everything about it. During my first visit for brake repair they were understaffed because a gentleman had failed to show up for work. This didn't stop them from completing the brake service in well under the quoted time. During my second visit the repair of my wheel bearing was not only fast, it was less expensive than several other shops in the area quoted. The manager is personable, professional, and not afraid to tell you if there are options that would be better for you, even if it means his own shop getting less money.
They do good work at a fair price. Allen's the first person I see to get my vehicles serviced.
